Course Overview
Hole One
Paris Mountain starts with a beautifully scenic hole that is challenging yet possibly rewarding. The hole plays in-between 377 and 465 yards and is getable in two with a good tee shot! Beware of a running creek to the right off the tee. A great hole to start with a signature island green!
Hole Two
The second hole is short uphill par 4 that plays about 30-50 yards longer off the tee than advertised. With trees on both the left and right, a good tee shot is necessary on this hole. Plus, with a difficult and fast wide-sloping green, players must be conscious to not go over the green on their second shot as it could spell trouble.
Hole Three
The third hole is a dogleg right, short par 5, ranging from 401 to 472 yards. Better players will try and cut the dogleg to give themselves a short shot in, but it is necessary for someone to get there in two. A small fast green requires a good shot in. Be aware of the trees on your right and left coming into the green. A great birdie hole early in the round for golfers!
Hole Four
The fourth hole is a short par 4 ranging from 272 to 333 yards. Players must avoid the trees on the right side of the tee box. Also make sure to be aware of the fairway bunker to the left about 80 yards in front of the green. The fourth hole also includes the most unique and one of the most difficult greens on the golf course. It multi-teered, so pay attention to the pin location.
Hole Five
The fifth hole is a short, but difficult par 3 ranging from 106 to 147 yards. There is water both in front of the green as well as a small creek that runs off to the right. Left is a better miss on this hole than right. Players must also be conscious of the sand trap behind the green. The long green can make for a difficult putt depending on the pin location.
Hole Six
The sixth hole is a short par 4 ranging from 255 to 330 yards. Although short, this hole can be difficult for golfers if they are not prepared. Left is a much better miss of the tee box as the trees to the right can spell trouble. With a quick downward sloping green, players must be careful not to go over the green on their second shot. Par is a good score here.
Hole Seven
The seventh hole is an uphill dogleg left par 4 ranging from 257 to 356 yards. This hole, more than any on the front nine, requires a good shot off the tee. Beware of the out of bounds to the right side when hitting your tee shot. Short of the green is better than long as there is not much room behind the green. On your second shot make sure to take into account the greenside bunker to the left.
Hole Eight
The eightieth hole is a short down hill par 3 ranging from 90 to 138 yards. When considering your tee shot, there is a large bunker in front and behind the green. Also be aware of the pin location on the green as its relation to the gully on the right side of the green. When putting on this hole, remember that your putt breaks away from the mountain as it can sometimes be deceiving.
Hole Nine
The ninth hole is a par 4 ranging from 276 to 337 yards. This hole leans towards the right so try and position your tee shot towards the left-center of the fairway. There is also a tall pine on the right to consider when hitting you tee shot, you want to stay left of it. There is a large, deep bunker in front of the green causing a difficult shot into the green.
Hole Ten
The tenth hole is a short par 4 ranging from 237 to 361 yards. There is a thin creek that runs up the right side of the cart path through the green. Tee shots hit on the green. Tee shots hit on the left side of the fairway will trickle down towards the middle as the fairway slopes from the left to right. The second shot comes into a large green surrounded by three bunkers. The back nine starts with a great opportunity for a birdie.
Hole Eleven
The eleventh hole is the longest of the par 3's at Paris Mountain and can play as long as 200 hundred yards. There are two small bunkers to the right front of the green. The worst place to miss is left as there is a small creek near the green. Number eleven also includes a wide, quick green.
Hole Twelve
The twelfth hole is an uphill dogleg left par 5 playing as far as 500 yards with the slope. There are trees all up the left and right side from the fairway into the green. Although getable in two, be careful no to go long of the green as there is not much room behind the green to miss. Twelve's green includes a small gully in the front left. Players must be careful on this green to have the correct speed and break.
Hole Thirteen
The thirteenth hole is Paris Mountain's number one handicap and starts a very difficult three hole stretch. A long downhill par 4 with a very narrow fairway, challenges golfers off the tee. Most golfers will hit an iron or hybrid off the tee to avoid going to far where the fairway tightens. A miss both left and right off the tee can put trees in-between you and the green.
Hole Fourteen
Paris Mountain's Fourteenth hole is a par 5 that plays in-between 331 and 460 yards. There is a tall tree in front of the green that is play off to the right of the fairway. If players want to reach the green in two then they must stay on the left side of the fairway. Be careful to keep the ball below the hole coming into the green, but make sure not to play it too short as there is a creek in front of the green beside the cart path.
Hole Fifteen
The fifteenth hole completes the possibly the most difficult three hole stretch on the entire golf course. It is a long par 4 with a creek running through the middle of the fairway. Almost all players lay back with their tee shots keeping the ball close to 150 yards out. Players must avoid missing the green left on their second shot as there is both water and trees. The green slopes right to left coming into the hole.
Hole Sixteen
Hole sixteen is a short uphill par 3 the plays 10-20 yards further than the yardage. There is a bunker in front of the left side of the green that players want to avoid. The sixteenth green is one of the quickest Paris Mountain has to offer. Golfers must putt carefully on this green especially coming back down the hill. Hitting it just short of the hole, leaving yourself an uphill putt, is preferable.
Hole Seventeen
The seventeenth hole is one of Paris Mountain Country Club's most beautifully scenic holes as it overlooks the golf course with Paris Mountain as its backdrop. It is a downhill par 4 with water in front and right of the green. Most players hit less than a driver off the tee in order to avoid the water and fairway bunker. There is also a bunker about 20 yards in front of the green.
Hole Eighteen
The eighteenth hole is a par 4 ranging from the 271 to 346 yards. The par 4 requires a good tee shot as there is a fairway bunker and trees to the left as well as water and trees to the right. There is also a bunker right of the green. Paris Mountain's last hole also includes one of its quicker greens. A great birdie to finish on, with a tee shot that finds the fairway.
